 # 415.003, from Tokyo Japan. Photographer: Martin Holtkamp This is already the second issue of FS_eZien, the quarterly eZine in PDF format published by FontShop BeNeLux. The content is an overview of FontShop articles from the last three months, culled from FontShop publishing venues including – but not limited to – The FontFeed and Unzipped. It is a highly subjective selection. FS_eZien – a nod to our Dutch customers – can be viewed on screen, but is printable if you’d rather do your reading on paper. Enjoy the read. |

 # 415.003, from Tokyo Japan. Photographer: Martin Holtkamp Today we are trying something new. In response to the success of the FontFont release magazines, FontShop BeNeLux will publish quarterly eZines in PDF format. Keep in mind this is a first issue, so we welcome your feedback and suggestions. |

It’s been two years, so I guess we were due for a new one. FontFont issues the new 2009 catalogue of the FontFont Type Library, which features an overview of all the fonts up to the very recent Release 46. FontShop BeNeLux customers can request their free copy; anyone else who can give us a very good reason can receive one as well.

The Web is a wonderful thing for finding fonts; it’s ideal for searching and sampling. In the end though, and despite the ubiquity of text on the Web, most type was meant to be seen on paper. And it’s with that knowledge that we present FontBooklet 1, the first in a series of printed specimens that give ample space and tribute to the best typefaces for professional typography from the FontShop library. |

Two new FontFontFocus brochures have arrived at the offices of FontShop BeNeLux. One spotlights Michael Abbink’s FF Kievit, the popular all-purpose humanist sans family; the other features the even more popular FF Meta by Erik Spiekermann which now includes the eagerly anticipated new release FF Meta Serif alongside FF Meta, FF Meta Condensed and FF Meta Headline.

We’ve finally received our 500 copies of the brand spanking new FontShop 2008 calendar cum sketchbook by Neville Brody’s Research Studios. You have been clamouring for it, and you are a damn lucky bunch because FontShop BeNeLux decided to give away for free its copies.

Most of you guessed correctly what the sneak preview late October was all about. FontShop commissioned a limited edition screen printed poster by Belgian cult art collective Cum*. And best of all – it can be yours for free.

I’d like to make an exception and dispense with text for this one post. Let the speculation (and anticipation) begin. :)
