In association with paper wholesaler ModoVanGelder and with the support of BNO (Association of Dutch Designers) the Grafische Cultuurstichting has initiated the new edition of the Dutch Graphic Identity Award (Nederlandse Huisstijlprijs). This bi-annual competition is being held for the eighth time this year.
Eligible are “small graphic identities” (for smaller organisations and businesses), “large graphic identities” (for larger/complex organisations and businesses), and brands that were developed in 2007 or 2008. Submissions are accepted up to March 1st, 2009. Strength of concept, communication power, usability and execution will be important criteria for judging the entries. The prize will ultimately be awarded to both the designer and the customer.
The jury of the Dutch Graphic Identity Award is composed of Jan Brinkman (designer) as president of the jury, Albertien Jaeger-Kamp (design consultant), Richard van der Laken (designer De Designpolitie), David Quay (graphic & type designer), Jan Sevenster (designer Member Since), Thérèse Smeets (marketing manager ModoVanGelder), Fokko Tamminga (printer - manager Ando), and van Steijn (Grafische Cultuurstichting) as secretary without right to vote.
Additional to ModoVanGelder the Dutch Graphic Identity Award is supported by Uitgeverij d'jonge Hond and Flevodruk Harderwijk. Further information and the submission form can be found on the Grafische Cultuurstichting website.
