While I’m busy writing some serious stuff, I wanted to share a classic with you. “Who’s on first?” is a classic Abbott and Costello routine and genius example of silly wordplay and – above all – flawless comedic timing.

The motion picture piece posted by user Jimmy73 on YouTube matches the routine perfectly and definitely does the hilarious verbal exchange justice. Although the choice of typefaces is not particularly good (Birch!?), the composition and motion is very well done. It was produced entirely with Adobe After Effects’ text animation tools and masks.

It’s just a shame they used inch marks instead of the correct apostrophe marks.

And in the spirit of this classic exchange, here’s the just as classic and equally hilarious political satire featuring Dubya and Condi.
