FontShop’s new 2008 agenda
We’ve finally received our 500 copies of the brand spanking new FontShop 2008 calendar cum sketchbook by Neville Brody’s Research Studios. It was designed by Luke Prowse, and we’re giving them away for free.

How can you obtain a copy of this agenda/sketchbook? There are two possibilities.

Either you are a current customer of FontShop BeNeLux. This means you need to have purchased something quite recently. That single weight of Futura you bought ten years ago is not going to be of much help, but if you acquired a full FontFont library in 1999 we’re willing to make an exception. And hey, if you really want that agenda/sketchbook, just buy some type when requesting your copy. It’s not rocket science. ;)

Or you’re an art or design student, but then we’ll need two things from you. First of course you need to give us some proof that you are actually a student (name of your school, scan of your student card, whatever…). Second you will produce a piece of typographic art or design that will be published in a dedicated gallery on Unzipped. Not just some lame picture of found type or a throwaway piece, but something that will convince us to send you a very exclusive art FontShop agenda/sketchbook. E-mail me a JPEG High Quality RGB image at exactly 440 pixels wide and 100 to 500 pixels high. If you fail to comply to these technical specifications, your entry will not even be considered. I don’t feel like cropping and converting stuff just to give away that beautiful booklet for free. Tough noogies.

So don’t procrastinate. Only 500 copies! Well, 498 because I already have two. No – 496 as Frederik has his two copies as well. Errr… 495 if you count Rudy’s. Damn, you’d better hurry! :P

P.S. People experiencing a strange sense of déjà-vu should consult their general practician immediately or report to the nearest hospital. Better be safe than sorry.

Procedure

Send an e-mail with your name and address to FontShop BeNeLux sales with "FontShop calendar/sketchbook" in the subject line.
Do NOT send your e-mail to me (unzipper[at]fontshop[dot]be). I don’t have anything to send you.
FontShop BeNeLux customers include invoice number and date of their last purchase from FontShop BeNeLux.
Art and design students include proof that they are students at an art or design school and a piece of typographic art or design as a
JPEG High Quality RGB image measuring exactly 440 pixels wide and 100 to 500 pixels high.
Important: Only BeNeLux residents can apply. People from other countries need to contact their local FontShop or FontShop International.

@ Rick -- Why can't you show us some typographic work? If you haven't got anything yet, just make something new. :)

If I said that my life depends on me getting one of these gorgeous notebooks...would that help me secure a copy? Or the fact that I'm actually a one-legged orphan? If that doesn't do it, then how about a bribe?

You can always try -- I can't speak for them. Send an e-mail to info@fontshop.be and include a photo of you looking like Puss in Boots when he tries to con Shrek and Donkey in the Shrek 2 movie. Maybe that'll work.

haha. I'll give it a try. I'll try the classic Oliver photo too--begging bowl and all.

Hi Unzipper! I'm from Argentina, can I participate? I'm a graphic design student, I've got proof of that and I can send a typographic work I've already done. Thanks!
